Kadeco’s core project is to lead the cooperation of the Icelandic state, Isavia, Reykjanesbær and Suðurnesjabær on the planning, development, marketing and use of land surrounding Keflavík International Airport.
Development of the area is guided by a comprehensive economic and spatial masterplan, K64. The masterplan proposes to target development on strategic locations with high impact in terms of identity and value creation. The masterplan provides a vision for 2050 for the region and development of locations will happen in phases over time.
